2009 New England Car Trip - Thursday October 1st

Virginia and Phil Eckert decided to ride the trains with us for the next couple of days so they met up with us early this morning for a ride on the Mount Washingtion Cog Railway. While we were sitting in the parking lot waiting for the Eckerts and the office to open it started snowing. It made for an interesting ride up the mountain. We finished up the day with a dinner train ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad out of North Conway.

They only run steam on certain days and only the first train of the day. After the current supply of coal runs out they will cease steam operations.
