The old Marion, OH station. There are double track mainlines on the left, right and behind this station.
(6311 miles driven) Last day of the trip. We got underway at 7:30am and headed for Marion, OH for some train watching. Arriving in Marion around 8:45am we parked next to the old station and tracks. Marion, OH was once a steam shovel manufacturing town. The station is bordered on three sides by double track mainlines. It wasn't long before the trains started coming. We stayed and watch trains, toured the station (when it opened at 10:00am) and had lunch before heading home at 12:00 noon. After driving for over nine hours we arrived at home at 9:42pm very tired.
