The second day in France is a trip to the local market in Dives-Sur-Mer and back to the apartment to eat our rotissie chicken. Then we took a trip along the coast past some of the Normandy D-Day beaches (Sword, Juno and Gold), passing through Benouville to view the Pegasus bridge. Next were stops at Arromanches to view the man made harbor, Longues-Sur-Mer to view a Germany battery and finally to Ryes to view a British cemetery.
At the local market in Dives-sur-Mer we purhased a rotissie chicken, paupiettes de veau (veal stuffed with sausage), steak, and duck breast. On the way back to the apartment we stopped at the local fisherman's market and purchased some very fresh scallops.
