2006 Cross Country Car Trip - Sunday September 24th

(7238 miles driven) Today we took a ride on the Royal Gorge Railroad through the Royal Gorge, CO alongside the Arkansas River in one of the dome cars. The it was off to Denver to visit the world's largest train hobby store or Mecca as Marlene calls it. We then drove through Colorado and into Kansas. We stopped for the night in Colby, KS. Tomorrow is a day of driving through Kansas and Missouri with essentially the same scenery.
