The fog coming off the trees looked just like smoke from a fire.
(4824 miles driven) Today we traveled first to Crater Lake, OR. It was an early morning start and the fog burning off the trees made them look like they were on fire. Then we ran into our first snow. In fact the rim drive around Carter Lake was closed because of snow and we had to travel 40 miles to the southern entrance. That got us to Crater Lake Lodge and a good view of the lake. We ate lunch in the lodge and then headed for the Redwoods National Forrest. We got our first glimpse of a redwood in the Redwood's National Park just inside the California state line. Tonight we are in Crescent City, CA. Tomorrow we will tour Redwood's National Forrest and then head for Reno.
