The tame deer outside of the Super 8 at Red Lodge, MT.
(2840 miles driven) Today was a long day. After packing the car with help from some tame deer we made the ascent through Bear Tooth Crossing into Yellowstone. The first thing we saw in Yellowstone was a herd of buffalo that blocked the road for about ten minutes until we pushed our way through with the car. Then we saw the Yellowstone Grand Canyon created by the Yellowstone River. There were several places where I couldn't walk to the end of the lookout so Marlene had to take the pictures. It was then on to the thermal features around the mud volcano. Then on to Old Faithful which was a bit disappointing. After this it was out of the park and on to Jackson Hole, WY. We were thinking about taking the scenic route through the Tetons. But two elk crossing the road in front of us made us decide it was best to be in the hotel before dark. Tomorrow is not planed at this time.
